Meet the Team

The Team at Henwood Construction

Terry Henwood

LBP 112412

Terry Henwood formed Henwood Builders in 1993 and is the driving force behind the company, now named Henwood Construction.

Prior to forming his own business, Terry had trained/worked extensively in NZ and also traveled for 3 years in Europe where he worked as a foreman/carpenter.

On his return in 1992 Terry and his wife Leisa formed Henwood Builders, and have worked over the years to make Henwood Construction one of the leading Construction Companies in the North.

With over 27 years as a builder, he has seen many changes occur in the building industry and has worked under differing delivery contracts. The end result has always been the same – a quality building which meets, if not exceeds, the end goals of the client.

Terry has overseen and worked closely with clients on many high end projects, including the design and build on the Kerikeri Sports Complex. He was Project Manager for the Waterline Apartments complex in Paihia (valued at over $5 million), the upgrade of the 5 Star Paihia Beach Resort.

Over the years Terry and Henwood Builders have been the preferred Contractor at the Waitangi National Trust, along with trusted sub-contractors, who have continually delivered projects on time and on budget.

Terry employs site foremen who have been with him for many years. These people understand the company systems and expectations as well as current building regulations – which are adhered too without exception.

Terry is a keen fisherman and diver and in his spare time can be found on his boat in the Bay of Islands with his wife Leisa and their three boys.
